BIOGRAPHY
A self described "writer first, singer third, and dreamer in between", Washington, DC based singer/songwriter B.jamelle specializes in storytelling by way of song.
By means of a warm and enveloping, sultry yet quirky vocal delivery, her debut EP entitled "Memoirs From the Thick of It" showcases solid lyricism riddled with passion, honesty, eccentricity and whimsical interpretations of her real life encounters. When asked of her process in songwriting and compiling her first EP she explained, "Honestly, these are my random journal entries put to music, except my journal entries are unique in that they're almost always rhythmic and written with melody in mind. It's all real, this is my testimony you're soon to be swaying to, and I hope it gets you through."
B.jamelle's debut release was indeed a labor of love, written with the listener at heart and is sure to be recognized for it's fresh take on "soul" music.
